Supa Powa Wristcuff Display

Supa Powa Wristcuff Display

I've been in need of a display to feature my hand stitched Supa Powa Wristcuffs. What's a girl to do? I made 'em myself!

Made with:
2 dumpster dove drawers
Recycled Cardboard
Acrylic Paint
Hot Glue
Love
Sunshine

Supa Powa Wristcuff Display

The drawers were found in a dumpster behind a local business that was remodeling.
First I painted both the drawers with a few layers of acrylic paint.
Next came measuring the insides and creating the shelves from a cardboard box i had ready to go out to the recycling bin. I also put a few coats of paint on those and let everything dry overnight.
The shelves were put into place and I added a little hot glue to them to make sure they didn't go anywhere.

Ragamufyn Original Artwork!

sunshine
I'm super excited to tell you about my latest project!
Ragamufyn Original Artwork!
I have always loved painting but the last few years have been consumed by another love... Fabric!
In the last few months I have been exploring as many creative outlets as possible. My goal with this is to wake up and create whatever I wish! It's really spectacular and I urge anyone and everyone to give it a try. I have no limits... The only outcome I strive for is happiness! Sounds great right?
Tomorrow when you wake up try something new. You never know what you may receive!

Process:
The background was painted using watercolors in all the colors of the rainbow.
Between each color I added gold metallic.
The Rays of Light and the center of the sun were created using recycled t-shirts that I screen printed with a polka dot pattern and these were appliqued onto recycled canvas.
Next everything was glued into place.
To finish the piece the sides were painted with turquoise acrylic and striped with a blue metallic.
Look closely... my signature was embroidered on each piece!

Ragamufyn's Featured Etsy Shop of the Day!

'For Rylan, Love Mom'

For Rylan, Love Mom

Meet Quinn, my old roommate from back in our snowboard bumming around Snowmass days! Thanks to Facebook we still get to keep in touch and I found out she has started an Etsy shop, 'For Rylan, Love Mom'. I'm so excited she's sharing her craftiness with the whole world. She not only appliques these adorable recycled goods but just look at that colorful embroidery. Makes my day sunny for sure!

For Rylan, Love Mom
Here's what she has to say about it all...

I've been making all kinds of things my whole life. I am most passionate about sewing, crocheting and making semi-precious stone jewelry. For years, people have said, "You should sell this!" and I have been humble.

For Rylan, Love Mom

Now that I am a Mommy and staying at home with my 1-year-old son, Rylan, I have been taking advantage of nap times with a little craftiness. I have a large group of creative girlfriends who inspire and encourage me and the most wonderful husband to lend his support.

For Rylan, Love Mom

So Etsy came along and has made it so simple. Why wouldn't I sell my stuff? I hope you like it!

We sure do!
She's an Etsy Newbie so go get some 'For Rylan, Love Mom' goods and make her day!

Vintage Applique Laptop Skin

VIntage Applique Laptop Skin
I created this custom applique 'skin' for my laptop last week using fabric from the vintage bedsheets i collect and recycled canvas.
VIntage Applique Laptop Skin
The entire project was sewn by hand using embroidery floss. I added my tag to the bottom and scattered buttons.
VIntage Applique Laptop Skin
I attached the whole thing to my laptop using a low temp glue gun. It's semi-permanent and can be peeled off if I ever decide I want to change it.

Live Fabulous and Free!
It's all mine!

New scarves to rock your world!

Hello Yello

Pinkolicious Owlie of Love

Punk Rock

Three Little Birds...Singin' Sweet Songs

I'm adding tons of new hand appliqued scarves to my etsy store over the next couple of days. I can't seem to get enough of handwork in felt and embroidery floss. It's so much fun and completely relaxes me.

Applique is my meditation.

It's a Karate Kid kind of Halloween

It's a Karate Kid kind of Halloween

Here's the DIY costume I made for my little little for Halloween this year. I got a karate gi online for around $20 and used recycled t-shirt scraps and acrylic paint for the rest of it.

The headband was made from a piece of t-shirt stitched together like a tube and turned and was hand painted using acrylic craft paint and some fabric medium.

I cut the applique freehand and pieced it together in a crafty style I think would make Mrs. Miyagi proud. Then top stitched the whole thing with gold thread.

Believe me... everybody WAS Kung Fu Fighting.

etsy faires and the magical wrist cuffs

Oh my goodness!

It's like a miracle has happened. New items appeared in my etsy store as if by magic, overnight. I love it when the etsy fairies come down, photograph some groovy goods and then post them in my shop. It's a wondrous day the whole world round!

These are some lovely hand stitched wrist cuffs I made during the tepid late winter months and are finally made available to you! So go on.... don't be shy.

Maybe I'll sprinkle more magic dust around my crafting space and see what happens tonight!

Get yours @ ragamufyn.etsy.com

*note to self*
